Like many other places in India, Indore City has some colorful festivals. Indore City which is located in the Narmada River valley in Madhya Pradesh, central India is one of the best places for you to go if you want to witness colorful festivals in India. You don’t even have to worry that your festive mood will falter because of the weather because Indore City is known to have one of the mildest weather in India.

There are at least two major very colorful festivals being observed in Indore City. If you happen to be visiting in the month of September, you will be treated by the beautiful site and sound of the Anant Chaudas festival. The Anant Chaudas is one of the festivals that you should not miss while in India. This festival would start with some large colorful processions with thousand of people participating in. The processions would end with the emersion of the idols of Lord Ganesha in the water.

Another colorful festival that takes places in Indore City is the Rangpanchami. This festival is a must for people who love music. Instead of colors feeling the air, this festival fills the air such beautiful sounds and music. The Rangpanchami festival is actually one of the most unique festivals that you can enjoy when you are visiting India. Most of the music played during this festival is lively that you cannot help but stomp your feet, click your fingers and sway your body to the beat. This festival is really one of the best that you can find in the whole world.
